Jacqui Saunders-Love               Paper Sculptor

My work is entirely made of paper. The sculptures are not to scale but are based on real places and have a visual logic and proportion. The sculptures suggest rather than slavishly replicate. The use of LED lights allows the sculpture to change, revealing or enhancing certain aspects and yet remaining elusive and as tantalising as a dream. The pieces are meticulously cut by hand, which is more tactile and instinctive – like drawing with a scalpel - and are then encased within found objects such as boxes or display cases.
